Farrm Wine was created by Rex and Connie Farr practicing organic/biodynamic farming methods. No chemicals have been used on the farm since 1985. They became the first certified organic farm (1990) on Long Island.
The vineyard was planted in 2005, with four varieties of Bordeaux grapes; 8.5 acres of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Petite Verdot.

Our vineyard is a special place in which a very unique process takes place. We harness the power of biodynamic farming to produce high-quality vine-ripened grapes for Farrm Wines.
All of our grapes are handpicked and we use the Biodynamic Production Method started by Rudolph Steiner in 1920. Through this process, we hope to understand the relationship between the moon and the tides and their impact on production.
From pruning to harvest, it takes 220 days, 25 jobs, and a lot of luck to produce nearly three tons of grapes per acre.
